Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“User” or “you”) and Quontis (“Quontis,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the operator of quontis.io and all associated services. By accessing or using Quontis you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher), that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that you agree to comply with all provisions herein.

Your continued use of the service after any modification to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a modification, your sole remedy is to discontinue use and cancel your subscription.

2. Description of Service

Quontis is a gamified trading journal platform that enables traders to log, review, and analyse their trading activity. Features include trade journaling, performance analytics, an XP and levelling system, badges, daily missions, an AI-powered coaching assistant, and optional broker import tools.

3. Account Registration & Security

To access Quontis you must create an account with a valid email address and a password. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your password and restrict access to your account.
• Notify us immediately at support@quontis.io if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account credentials.

We reserve the right to disable accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised or are being used in violation of these Terms, without prior notice.

One account per person

Each account is for a single individual. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent feature limits or promotional offers is prohibited.

4. Subscription & Billing

Plans

Quontis offers two subscription tiers:

• Free — $0/month. Includes up to 50 trades per month, core journaling, equity curve, PnL calendar, XP and levels, rules and playbook, and CSV export.
• Pro — $19/month. Includes everything in Free plus unlimited trades, full analytics suite, badges, missions, streaks, AI Coach (50 messages/day), weekly AI performance reports, broker import (9 presets plus IBKR and Tradovate), and custom coach instructions.

Billing and auto-renewal

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. on a monthly recurring basis. By subscribing to Pro you authorise Quontis (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on the same date each month until you cancel. Prices are in USD. Applicable taxes may be added depending on your location.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through the billing portal accessible via Settings → Billing, or by contacting support@quontis.io. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Pro access until that date. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.

Free trial

New accounts may be eligible for a 14-day Pro trial. Trial eligibility is determined at our discretion and may change at any time. At the end of the trial period your account will revert to the Free tier unless you have entered a payment method and upgraded.

Price changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days’ written notice sent to your registered email address. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. AI Coach Disclaimer

You acknowledge that:

• AI Coach outputs are generated by a large language model and may contain errors, hallucinations, or outdated information.
• You will not rely on AI Coach responses as the sole basis for any financial or trading decision.
• Quontis is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial institution.
• Past performance discussed in AI-generated reports is not indicative of future results.

6. User Content & Data Ownership

You own your data

All trade data, journal entries, notes, screenshots, and other content you upload or create within Quontis (“User Content”) remains your property. We claim no ownership over your User Content.

Licence to operate the service

By submitting User Content you grant Quontis a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service to you. This licence does not include the right to sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising purposes.

Data export

You may export all of your trade data at any time in CSV format via the Export option in your account settings. This right is available on both Free and Pro tiers and is not affected by subscription status or account standing.

Public profiles

Quontis offers an opt-in public profile at quontis.io/p/[your-slug]. This feature is disabled by default. By enabling a public profile you consent to the selected information being publicly accessible on the internet. You may disable your public profile at any time from Settings.

Data deletion

Upon account deletion, your User Content is permanently removed from our production systems within 30 days. Backup copies may persist for up to an additional 90 days before being purged from disaster-recovery systems.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Quontis to:

• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
• Transmit unsolicited commercial communications or spam.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, other user accounts, or Quontis infrastructure.
• Introduce malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to disrupt, damage, or intercept data.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform without prior written consent.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Quontis application.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent subscription limits or payment requirements through any technical means.
• Use the platform in a way that disproportionately burdens our infrastructure.

Violation of this policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination, at our sole discretion, without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

Quontis IP

The Quontis name, logo, brand marks, application design, source code, analytics algorithms, gamification system, and all other intellectual property embodied in the service are owned by or licensed to Quontis and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or exploit any Quontis IP without express written permission.

User-generated content rights

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to the User Content you submit, and that your User Content does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party. You retain all rights to your User Content subject to the limited operating licence described in Section 6.

9. Privacy

Your use of Quontis is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information about you when you use the service, including data processed by third-party services such as Stripe, Anthropic, Resend, and Railway. By using Quontis you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, QUONTIS AND ITS OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, TRADING LOSSES, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO QUONTIS IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain liabilities. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

11. Termination

By you

You may terminate your account at any time by navigating to Settings → Account and selecting “Delete Account,” or by contacting support@quontis.io. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.

By us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for:

• Material violation of these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.
• Non-payment of subscription fees.
• Activity that we reasonably believe poses a legal, security, or reputational risk.
• Extended inactivity (Free tier accounts inactive for more than 24 consecutive months may be purged with 30 days’ email notice).

Effect of termination

Upon termination, your right to access the service immediately ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 6 (data deletion timelines), 8 (IP), 10 (limitation of liability), and 12 (governing law) — will survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation shall be subject to binding arbitration or the jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States, as applicable under then-current law.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes we will notify you by email to your registered address and/or by displaying a prominent notice within the application at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The updated Terms will be posted at quontis.io/terms with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
